Plastic-bonded magnets can be made by pressing or by injection molding, namely from raw materials consisting of ferrite, NdFeB, or SmCo.
The material is mixed with a thermoplastic material such as polyamide. The advantage is that complex shapes can be pressed or cast.

Plastic-bonded NdFeB magnets are highly resistant to corrosion.
However, it is still recommended to provide them with a coating so as to maximize their durability.
Because of their isotropy plastic bonded magnets can be magnetized in different directions.
